So I saw the new Sherlock movie today.. pretty entertaining. Doesn't require much thought, which made it seem cheap to me. I guess I expect Holmes' movies to have some kind of insanely clever plot that's impossible to follow, and while this movie had it's twists.. I didn't get that *surprise!* feeling at the end. The CG was cool.. had typically impossible fight scenes and all that crap.

But what really bothered me was the deliberate cliffhanger ending. I realize that many movies have this now, and I'm not opposed to a followup exactly.. but yet I'm pissed off. What happened to movies finishing their stories, becoming popular, THEN getting their sequels? It practically screamed "stay tuned for the next 20 installments.. rofl!" And for some reason that I can't put my finger on, I left the theater totally insulted.

There were a few nice bits though.. I thought the music was catchy, and Moriarty's stooge -the main villain of the plot- looked like a Dracula clone, and basically acted as one too.
